What a Funscript is and is not
A Funscript is an authored timeline of positions paired with media time. A compatible player reads that timeline and translates it into device commands. The format can enable repeatable local-file playback, but the script does not prove that the device analyzes video, that every player supports the device or that every motion axis is reproduced. File availability, script quality, player support and device support are separate questions.
The current Funscript.org workflow illustrates those dependencies: it describes local files, sync-offset control, direct Wi-Fi connections for some devices, Bluetooth paths through additional software for others, and paid AI-related features. That third-party page is useful for understanding the workflow; it is not a Crazy GIGI compatibility certificate.
Scripted playback
A motion script is a timeline of positions or commands. During playback, the player reads the current time and sends the corresponding instruction. The result can be repeatable because the timing is authored in advance. Quality depends on script resolution, synchronization offset, connection latency and how closely the device follows the requested path.
Live and partner control
Live control sends commands as a person or software changes them. Partner control may be local or internet-based and usually requires authentication and consent. It is interactive but not the same as automatic video synchronization. A product page should not use one as proof of the other.
What an official API adds
An API can expose device state, motion commands, scripts and errors to compatible applications. At the time of review, Autoblow's live official Ultra API documentation describes local scripts, oscillator settings, normalized position commands, sync-script states and device events. That documents a developer interface; it does not prove a specific third-party content catalog or a successful end-to-end workflow. What “AI sync” may mean
The phrase can describe several systems: precomputed scripts, computer vision that estimates motion, a conversational controller, rule-based patterns or marketing language around a normal remote-control feature. Ask the brand which process is used, where processing occurs, what data is uploaded and which media sources are supported.
Local-file privacy requires a data-flow answer
“Local video” can mean only that the media file starts on the user's device. It does not by itself reveal whether a filename, thumbnail, script, generated analysis, account identifier or usage event is sent to a server. A useful privacy statement names each data object, where it is processed, how long it is retained and how the user deletes it. If a workflow uses cloud AI or remote partner control, that network boundary should be visible before signup.

Latency and offset
Perceived synchronization depends on the full path from player to device. A consistent delay can sometimes be corrected with an offset; variable delay is harder. A credible test records the visible media cue and physical response in one high-frame-rate view, then reports repeated delay rather than one best example.
Subscriptions, credits and service continuity
Connected use can involve a device app, player subscription, paid content catalog, AI-generation credits or a third-party connector. Record them separately and state which functions remain after payment stops. Also ask what happens if a service is discontinued: can the user export scripts, play previously downloaded files, connect locally and control the device without the vendor account? Purchase price alone does not describe the cost or longevity of a sync workflow.
Safety and failure behavior
The user must retain a reachable stop or pause. If a connection drops, the device should enter a predictable state rather than continue uncontrolled.
